Professional's shopStephen Duncan our resident PGA Professional joined Cathcart Castle Golf Club as Head Professional in March 1998.  Stephen is ably assisted in the shop by Jonny McLeish (2008-2009 Club Champion) and Mike Watt.  Stephen and his team offer a vast wealth of experience to make sure your golfing experience is an enjoyable one.  Whether it be custom fitting or a golf lesson they will be happy to discuss your golfing needs be it member or visitor.

Stephen’s well stocked shop carries an extensive range of golfing merchandise with many high quality names such as Footjoy, Galvin Green, Glenmuir, Lyle & Scott, Ping, Taylor Made, Titleist, and Under Armour.  Whatever your requirements are the Professional and his staff are always ready to offer advice on the correct selection of clubs and equipment.

As well as providing a well stocked shop with products from all the major manufacturers, he has a full repair service and provides coaching to all levels of golfers.

Professional’s Winter Tip No.4

Make sure your spikes are in good condition
Whether you use soft spikes or steel spikes, make sure they are not worn down. A poor foothold will unbalance your swing and quickly drain your confidence. It also makes it a lot safer especially when negotiating a slope - often with your hands in your pockets. Especially with the Arctic weather we have experienced recently !!

TROLLEY / BUGGY HIRE
Cathcart Castle has a fleet of PowaKaddy electric golf trolleys for hire at the club and this can be organised on arrival.  However, if you wish to book a ride on buggy it is essential to pre-book this at the time of making your reservation.
