Cathcart Castle Golf Club - the clubhouse and first tee

Club members joined the Captain at the traditional ‘driving off’ ceremony on Saturday 13th March to welcome the start of the new golf season. Driving off in the sunshine were Captain Gordon Campbell accompanied by Past Captain John Henderson standing in for Vice-Captain Stuart Aiton who was unable to attend. Lady Captain Jean Lees was assisted by Lady Vice-Captain Marie Kelly and Junior Captain Matt O’Neill was assisted by Junior Vice-Captain Jack Brown. Prizes were duly awarded to those lucky folks who managed to retrieve the balls. Toasts were then taken to wish everyone a very successful golfing year. Ladies Open Greensomes Competition

Winners of the Shannon Rosebowl - Sharon Edgar and Mary Cowan

The Ladies Open Greensomes competition was played on Wednesday 14th July. A big thank you to everyone who participated and to all those who helped to make the day a success despite the weather. Approximately £350 was raised in the raffle for the Mbingo hospital in the Cameroon.
