Welcome to the website of Cathcart Castle Golf Club in Glasgow. The club was established in 1895 and is one of the oldest in the area. We are located  conveniently on the south side of the City of Glasgow on the Mearns Road, approx 1 mile from Clarkston Toll on the A727. To get directions to the club click for interactive map. The James Braid designed golf course is played over undulating parkland and offers a challenge to all levels of golfers. The course is surrounded by picturesque and panoramic views of the City of Glasgow, and you can also enjoy the fine views towards the hills in the North West and Loch Lomond.

Annual General Meeting

P1010850aDavid Montgomerie was elected Captain of the Club at the Annual General Meeting held on Friday 2nd December 2011. David thanked Past Captain Stuart Aiton for his work during his year as Captain and presented him with his Past Captain's badge and a present to show the club's appreciation. David then welcomed Jim Wilson as Vice-Captain for next season. Also at the AGM, Marie McLeod was elected Ladies Captain, with Brenda Rourke being elected Ladies Vice-Captain. The position of Honourary President of the Club was accepted by David Orcharton, with Honourary Vice-President being accepted by Jack Brown.

We can offer visiting parties tee time availability both during the week and at weekends. Clubhouse facilities include a private dining room and spacious lounge. Parlane McFarlane

The Parlane McFarlane Open Scratch tournament will be held on Sunday 27th May 2012. The tournament is sponsored by Wylie & Bisset Chartered Accountants with a Prize Fund of £800. Gents Seniors Open

The Gents Seniors Open event will be held on Tuesday 12th June 2012. The age limit is restricted to players who are 60 and over on the day of the competition. Prizes are awarded in each of three age groups and also to the overall winner and runner-up. Entry fee is £10, and entries close on 30th April 2012. Ladies Tri-Am Open
The Ladies Open Triam competition will take place on Wednesday 11th July. More information on this event will be available shortly.

 

Open Mixed
The Open Amateur Mixed Foursomes competition will be held on Sunday 1st July. The event is sponsored by Belhaven Brewery. Scratch and Handicap prizes are awarded. Maximum handicap for Gents is 20 and for Ladies 30. Entry fee is £12 per couple. Entry forms and event information flyer are now available to download here

 

Senior Open Mixed
The Senior Mixed Open Greensomes competition will take place on Thursday 17th May. Preferred tee times will be available. Prizes will be awarded in categories of 55-64 and 65 and over for both best gross and best net scores. East Renfrewshire Cup
The East Renfrewshire Challenge Cup and Team Event Trophy 18 hole competition will be held on Sunday 19th August. Starting times are available from 08.00-13.00 approx.
