Welcome to the website of Cathcart Castle Golf Club Glasgow. The club was established in 1895 and is one of the oldest in the area. We are located  conveniently on the south side of the City of Glasgow on the Mearns Road, approx 1 mile from Clarkston Toll on the A727. Get printed directions and interactive map.

The golf course is played over undulating parkland and offers a challenge to all levels of golfers. Measuring 5861yds from the medal tees, it is surrounded by picturesque and panoramic views of the City of Glasgow. You will also enjoy the fine views towards the hills in the North West and Loch Lomond.

We can offer visiting parties tee time availability both during the week and at weekends. Clubhouse facilities include a private dining room and spacious lounge. It is with great sadness that the club records the death on Sunday 25th July 2010 of Gentleman Member Mr Alan MacLeod. The funeral will be held at the Linn Crematorium on Monday 2nd August at 11.00am.

Opening Day - Captain Gordon Campbell officially opened the new golf season on Saturday 13th March. With the sunny weather in our favour, the traditional drive from the first tee signalled the start of the golfing calendar for the club. A large group of members and friends were present as the playing party was piped from the clubhouse to the tee. Club Professional Stephen was on hand to calm nerves and provide last minute coaching.  Professional’s Tip of the Month -

Wedges - the key to good scoring is having a good touch around the greens, it is therefore important to give yourself the best possible chance to play well in this section of the game. Try to carry four short game clubs in your bag, a 9 iron, a pitching wedge, a sand wedge and a lob wedge, (I have a 64 degree lob wedge which is great for coming over bunkers with little green to play with).  This range of clubs will give you the most versatility around the greens. more
